Sakin,
Thanks for the prompt reply. I found the solution to my problem.
For community edification:
In the “Edit Page” there was not an option to allow/disallow comments. However, up top, there is a grey tab, “Screen Options” twirl-down. Among the “Screen Options” check boxes is “Discussion.” After ticking this box in “Screen Options” I can now allow, or not, comments on this individual page.
Thanks for this attractive theme. My client is pleased.GranPaSmurfMemberSakin,
I am having the same issue. Like paulinepkehoe I have done “all of the above”
It seems to be a part of the default template, not a page or post. I would prefer to have a comments section on posts, but not on the front page.
Also, there does not seem to be a setting on the page to allow/disallow comments as there is in my other WP sites.GranPaSmurfMemberGot it, thanks. (slap-head moment)
GranPaSmurfMemberYes, I followed the instructions before posting. “Featured Slider” is not an option shown under Theme Options. There is, however, a tab called “FEATURED SLIDER” under which I have set options I prefer.
I have solved the problem in this way. Before, I was inserting the URL from my WordPress media library in the URL box. The only way I was able to get the Slider to work was to Upload the picture again and select “Insert into Post” option at the bottom.
I hope this helps others who struggle with this feature.
Cheers! -
