    The page that is selected as homepage always displays a line with

    just below the title of that page, no matter which of my site I assign as homepage. Does this have anything to do with the theme or is it just me not understanding wordpress?

    Perfect, thanks a bunch! It actually was the slideshow plugin by StefanBoonstra that caused the menu to disappear.

    Hey Sakin!

    Thanks for your reply! I tried what you suggested and it’s working. Only problem is that the home page isn’t taking the full width like the other pages, despite not having any widgets assigned at all. (Neither under Design => Widgets, nor under the Theme’s Homepage Options)

    Another issue that is troubling me is that the responsive menu is dissappearing when I am watching the the site on my smart phone (or when I’m scaling the width down in firefox).

    Any Idea what this could cause?
    I’ve reverted back the CSS to make sure my dabbling with it doesn’t cause the issues.
