Thank you, but I have other archive pages where I need category.php to be unaltered. It’s just for this one category (=question) where things should behave differently.
I tried your code in a file (in the child theme directory) called category-question.php. Using this to create a category page gave me an error as follows:
The main page isn’t working
Site is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500aparente001Participantaparente001ParticipantOkay, will do.
aparente001ParticipantI’m developing locally with XAMPP. How about if I give you links to my child theme files? I’ll include a few other things in case they help.
Another problem I’m having with my menu is that when I click on a different menu item, the menu briefly displays in a different place before it lands in the correct spot.
I’m afraid you’re going to find some not very elegant css. I really went wild with the z values to get things to look the way I wanted them to.
Here is a link to the dropbox folder with what I hope is everything needed, and then some: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/3r4zn7z9rcbus1g/AAAKQrpgee7yUoRyfx4LvEjna?dl=0
Thank you.
aparente001ParticipantI found the answer to #1: Theme Options -> Menu Options -> Check “Disable Primary & Secondary Menu”
aparente001ParticipantKathie, making a child theme is very simple. Don’t let that discourage you. Catch Evolution is much easier to tweak to fit your design ideas than most responsive themes.
