I cannot figure out how to display a sidebar on my Woo Commerce products/shop page. I didn’t think I wanted one, but now I do. On the page itself, I selected at the bottom for Layout Options “Primary Sidebar/Content”. But I still have a shop with full width and only a gallery of products.No sidebar.

I guess I need step by step because I see on my widgets page that there are plenty of Woo Commerce widgets to put in my shop if I can only figure out the sidebar.

@sydneyjb: For fully WooCommerce compatibility, I recommend you to upgrade to Pro version. Only Pro version is fully compatible with WooCommerce. The option you seek is featured in Pro version.
