Hello Sakin (I already know you’ll answer my question!)
I downloaded Catch Everest to have a look at the template as I did with many others. I found it amazing already with all the options you have in the “free” template version.
Now the problem is I want more customizing (even if lots of stuff have been done with CSS option). My website is already working (unfortunately not public yet so I cant really give the url) and I wanted to make a simple question:
If I upgrade to the PRO version, do I lose all work done until now? or there is a possibility to merge what has been done?
Thank you in advance
P.S.: I have the latest version installed
October 2, 2014 at 10:29 pm #45206SakinKeymaster@matteo: Upgrading to Pro version is pretty simple. Catch Everest Pro theme is the advance version of Catch Everest Free theme and it has lot of additional features. You can check at http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-everest-pro/.
So, all your work on free theme will be safe. You custom css and theme options settings will be there when you upgrade to pro version. But there are few settings that WordPress changes when upgrade. This has been explained in http://devotepress.com/wordpress-writing-editing/upgrade-premium-version-wordpress-themes-eg-adventurous-pro/
Note: I hope you haven’t edit/added any core theme files inside ‘catch-everest’ theme directory. As all files inside ‘catch-everest’ theme directory will be reverted back to original when you update or upgrade your theme.

Now all is clear and I know I can upgrade to PRO with no issues! No I haven’t edited anything, my knowledge of wordpress is really limited and everything has been customized through web interface (CSS option). Even on the final website I ll leave your footer (link to chatch themes) since you deserve to be supported.
Thanks again for the wonderful support I see you guys doing on your products!

I finally bought the PRO version, downloaded it but when I try to install it it says:
“The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.”
Is there any other way to upgrade?
Thank you!
October 20, 2014 at 11:34 pm #46039SakinKeymaster@matteo: For this you can ask your Website Hosting Server Support to increase the upload limit. Out themes are usually between 2 to 3mb. So, the best will to ask to increase upto 5mb.
Yes, alternatively you can upload the theme using FTP. It’s mentioned in Theme Instruction page at http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-kathmandu-pro/
October 21, 2014 at 8:52 pm #46068matteoMember@Sakin I have no upload limit with my Host, could be something else?
I m afraid that if I do it manually byt FTP I can make a mistake and have to restart all over again…
October 22, 2014 at 9:33 am #46093SakinKeymasterThat upload file exceeded error is upload limit set in your php.ini file in your server and this file should be easily updated by your web hosting server support. See this support thread in WordPress.org https://wordpress.org/support/topic/import-large-wordpress-xml-file?replies=6#post-721905
First back up the theme in your FTP and upload the new one. In this case, if you need anything back you can just remove that new theme and load the old theme.
October 22, 2014 at 1:54 pm #46094matteoMemberSeem I have no access to the file, I m trying to contact the provider and see if they can fix it.
Thank you for the help!
October 22, 2014 at 2:28 pm #46095matteoMemberSolved by putting the theme by FTP in wp-content/themes !!!!
