I seem to have lost the ability to edit text that is above the header.

At the very top of the page you will see “Download: Bestware Tech Support”

Where would I go in the dashboard to edit this?

If I remember correctly, it was in “Homepage Headline Options” which I do not see anymore in the Customize options.

@justin_bestware : We do not have any such option “Homepage Headline Options” in the customizer. It looks like the link has been added manually by editing the theme files. I suggest you to create a child theme and make your customization because directly editing the parent theme can be troublesome after theme update.
