    Changing the template does not work.
    Only difference with the different templates is the the right sidebar appears or disappears.
    This theme simply does not work, why?

    OK, Figured this out. There are actually two places to set the template and if you check it in the theme customisation then it disables the options on the Page.
    To make this clear the options should become non-selectable if the customised settings override them.
