I have upgraded to version 2.3, but there is still no post loop option.
I thought that was one of the fixes you were attempting??***I’m needing post loop because when setting the site to static page the posts do appear but they are dropped below the main page frame including below the right side bar which makes a huge gap of white space before the posts appear (making this option essentially un-usable). So this doesn’t work to get the my ‘recent’ posts on the static home page.
By using Page Builder (which I always do) I should be able to add a row to the static home page (main content area) and insert a post loop widget there. (This is what I am accustomed to doing). That would solve the problem nicely…. BUT POST LOOP doesn’t work on this theme.
Post Loop doesn’t work for
Clean Enterprise Pro either,
or Clean Blocks Probut it does work for
Full Frame Pro
Clean Education Pro
Lucida Pro
and OthersPOST LOOP IS AN IMPORTANT Page Builder Feature.
Also. I can’t figure out the Customize / Theme Options / HomePage Front Page Options. There are two places for categories, two toggles which are hard to understand how their purpose differs.
IE
Check to disable Recent Posts/Content on homepage
and
Check to Enable Recent Posts on Static PageI think this could be worded so it makes more sense. The both seem to be implying the same thing….
IE for each they could headed with be something like
for POST PAGE as home page
for STATIC PAGE as home pageThen it would be more clear.

The same post loop is used in all the themes. I will try to find out the why it is now working on the newer themes and will also consider all the suggestions you have provided. Have a good day!Kind Regards,

Please let me know of your progress. I just purchased another theme and it too has all the same problems. (Solid Construction Pro)I suspect this issue has something to do with the >custom >theme options >homepage/front page options, since this seems to be the main change from the older templates.
Anyway….
The post loop work around you provided me earlier
https://siteorigin.com/thread/wpestate-your-theme-doesnt-have-any-post-loops/does work to an extent to get a post loop added but, as a temporary measure, I’m wondering if you can help me trouble shoot the fact that although the posts appear the titles of the posts do not.
See this temp page (using Catch Inspire Pro) https://eatonia.ca/post-archives/
and this page (using Solid Construction Pro) https://rmofblainelake434.ca/post-archives/
(Note that in the Solid Construction Theme the post loop doesn’t display in the block style that comes with this theme, but they do display correctly when you select from the categories on the right side bar.)Also see the code from the link… but with an edit.

We use post loops in all our themes. You can check the index.php of our themes.
I don’t know how the post loop widget works on Lucida, Clean Education and not on Catch Inspire and Solid Construction because code used is the same. This might take a while as we are trying to figure out the issue. I will update you soon.Kind Regards,
