Hi
Took you suggestion and downloaded the WordPress Slider Plug In Pro.
Installed it and it worked on a regular page –But then pasted the code into an optional sidebar and all I saw was the link [slider id=’214′ name=’FSAV-one’], and not the slider.
Is there another slider plugin that will work in Catch sidebars?
Thanks
Alan

Thank you. I contacted them and they suggested installing:

And it is working so far – very nicely.Alan

Well, the new plug-in worked, but only for one slider. I wrote that developer who states that it is probably and issue with the theme (I deactivated the extra plug-ins).His response is below.
His link is way out of my pay grade.

To Alan:
Either some plugin which is related to shortcodes or the theme you are using is corrupting the output of javascript code generated by the slider plugin. You need to look for any plugin installed that can modify the shortcode and then disable it and check if it fixes the issue or not if it does not then it’s your theme.
For more information visit the link below.
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/the-shortcode-output-is-wrapped-in-p-tags> I am having trouble creating a second slider, even using the first images in the slider that works. I am able in a sidebar to even have, as a test, two instances of the first slider. The second slider – all I get is a horizontal line – and I haven tested using just one image used in the first slider. Alan>

Thank you again for your great support. The page I have with multiple instances of the slider is:
http://frankiesavoyballny.com/test/
If you provide me with a secure address, I will give you access to my admin password.
What is odd here is that a single slider works and there two instance of the same slider work, even on the same page.
But, I am getting the symptom identified by other users of the slide in: of a greyed out horizontal line where I wanted the second slider to appear.

As when I check in the source of your site through View Page Source, I see lot of repeat inline JavaScript code. Can you ask the support forum of plugin why there is repeat of JavaScript file. I think you should try different plugin.
