Is there a way to remove the Overlay that displays the page name and date over the Featured content pictures? Thanks you in advance!

@jmdarko: Go to => Appearance => Customize => Additional CSS and add the following CSS Code.

#featured-content-section .entry-header {
	display:none;
}

Let me know if this works out!
