I’d like to just have my logo displays in my header (above the menu bar) like I have it – however there is alot of white space. How can I remove some of the empty white space surrounding the logo in my header?

@jessicamorante: Hello there,
The extra space seems to be coming from the Logo that you have uploaded.
Go to => Appearance => Customize => Site Identity => Remove and re select the logo => Then crop of the extra white space in the logo and Publish.
