Hi, when my site http://www.sessiondrummer.co.uk appears in Google SERPS it precedes the Meta Description with the date 15/7/18. I believe it is getting this from the two featured content items at the end of the page as this is the date they were last modified. Whilst I am using All In One SEO, having done some research I believe the theme coding is pointing Google at the date somewhere.

This only happens on the home page of this site, and does not on another site I use the Rock Star Free on, but this does not have Featured Content on the home page. All this leads me to the above assumption. Despite looking I cannot find the code generating it! I wish to remove the date so could you please recommend action, together with CSS code as necessary.

Many thanks for your help and time.

    Chris

@rodeboy: The date seems to be coming from the slider images. To remove date from the Google SERPS you will need to create a child theme and make some edits to the core theme file. If you aren’t familiar with child theme customization I suggest you to hire a customizer.

Alternately you can find a suitable SEO plugin from the WordPress plugin repository which does the job of hiding date in Google search results.

Let me know if this helps you out.
    Kind Regards,
    Skandha
