Not exactly the same, but similar effect can be achieved via this theme.

And in this case reduce the height of the carroussel to put it just Under ?
This can only be achieved in Pro version. Pro version has Custom Image Slider, just reduce the image size and slider wil be small.

Yes, you can change background. For colors, in pro version, you have options to change the theme. Check out the theme instructions here. This option is not available in free version of the theme. However, if there are few changes, we provide support for it.

Native WordPress videos and Gallery is supported.
