I had a built in theme editor as part of the Catch Everest dashboard until recently.

I feel silly asking, but is its absence part of the theme update, or did I somehow disable it?

I’ve been checking all the functions.php and disabling various plugins.

@bill: Can you try deleting the theme and reinstalling it. You won’t lose any data or customization that you have done through Theme Options, Menus, Header, Background and Widgets. Only changes if you have done in Functions, Style or any core theme files will be reverted back.

So, let me know if this fixes your issue or not.

Just overwrote everything with a fresh download of all files in catcheverest.

    No change.

@bill: I was confused with Theme Options. But you were talking about “Appearance => Editor”.

This is not theme issue, you can activate any theme and you will still see editor missing. Check your configuration in Security plugin like Better WP Security or your configuration file wp-config.php

    Thank you sir.

Deleting the wp-config and uploading a clean one took care of it.
