    love the theme, thanks! i am finding custom html in a post is being stripped from excerpts on the homepage. in this case, i have a basic superscript that is not displaying. can anyone advise?

    it’s the second excerpt. you can see the full sized “1” instead of the superscript, which displays properly in the post itself.

    i’ve read that some theme’s function.php has a strip_tag directive, but can’t find anything like that in catchbox.

    @sezg: By default WordPress strip out all the formatting when you use excerpt. So, just go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Content layout” and select “Show full content”. This will display you post full content with format. But then if you wan to only few lines then you can split content using more tag <!--more-->. Just edit your post and add more tag and all the text before more tag will show in homepage.     thanks so much for the reply! i actually discovered a simpler solution: if i create a manual excerpt, html is included.
    (edit post > screen options > excerpt > bottom pane)

    this way i only have to hand manage the problem posts.
