    Hi,

i’m using polylang for my multilanguage website (english/german) and i already tranlated my content with it and all other stuff with poedit … but i really can’t translate the word “Search” in the searchbox to “Suche”. I tried to edit the searchform.php, but i doesn’t work.

A little help would be great. Thanks.

    Cheers

    Tom

@yut666: You can directly use the translated word “Suche” in customizer. Go to Dashboard=> Appearance=> Customize=> Theme Options=> Search Text Settings and edit the string.

@yut666: There is some issue with .po and .mo file in German translation files. Please use the translation file from the link below. Let me know if any problem.

It doesn’t work. Still the same word in the search box for both languages.

I found an other solution … i left the search box empty, so there is only the magnifying glass.

    Thanks anyway.
