Hi!

First of all: Thank you a thousand times for this great theme. It’s nearly perfect.

I’m creating a new website at the moment and have at least two questions left:

1. I love to use the Featured Slider. But when I put in a picture in 1140x450px as it fits perfects for the Slider, it doesn’t fit anymore in the article anymore when it’s open. You see only the medium part of the picture then. Is there any solution for that problem I haven’t seen yet?

2. I haven’t found a way yet to add captions to the main picture of he article. But in terms of copyright in some cases it would be better to be able to name the source/photographer. Is there any solution, too?

For your your first question. It’s bit complicated logic. The Featured Slider needs to have large image but in the post we have small space and also we need to think about the site loading. That is why we auto crop the image. So, the best option will be to exclude the post in homepage for which you have added in slider. You can exclude post in slider from homepage through “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Post Slider => Featured Post Slider Options”. Just check “Exclude Slider post from Homepage posts” and save it.

For your second question about the caption. When you upload the image in your post just add in the caption. May be this tutorial will help you http://wpmu.org/how-to-add-a-caption-to-wordpress-images/

I know how to add captions to “normal” pictures, but I’ve got problems with the picture above the headline (don’t know the English word for it, in German WordPress it’s the “Beitragsbild”; maybe “post picture” or something similar in English). There is no caption shown. As the website isn’t finished and online yet I’ve made a screenshot to illustrate what I’m talking about: The upper image in here http://fabianfiedler.de/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Catch_Everest1.jpg And as you see here (http://fabianfiedler.de/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Catch_Everest2.jpg), it should have caption and that stuff.

@fabianfiedler: If you see your screenshot http://fabianfiedler.de/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Catch_Everest1.jpg. Here you can see the Caption being used in the Second picture. But if you are thing about adding in the first picture then sorry you will not be able to do that. That image is the featured image to highlight the post. So, this will not have the caption option.
