    Hi,
for an website that is still in development I used the Rock Star Free theme.
At the frontpage I disabled the header logo by CSS and used an modified featured-slider.php file to setup the logo content on the page I used as featured page #1.
So, because of any future updates I decided to buy the Pro version and use custom slider to setup the logo at the frontpage.
So I bought the pro version, setup the theme as default…but still no html tag will be possible for the slider.

So, do I still have to modify the php file to use the full content, not the excerpt?

    Thanks
    Carsten

@grobc: I suggest you not to edit core theme files directly without creating a child theme because all those changes you make the theme core theme files will get deleted after you update the theme to a new version. If you need to edit theme files to customize your site I suggest you to create a child theme. If you do not know how to create a child theme you can use Generate Child Theme Plugin. To know more about child themes follow this link.

Let me know if this helps you out!
    Kind Regards,

    Hi Skandha,
of course I use a child theme…and now I added the function to load the page at the featured-slider.php to my child theme functions.php.
My idea was to buy the Pro theme, support your company and get pro functionalities…to be able to setup an page as content for the featured slider with HTML, that will be shown at the website.

But for me it looks, like I don´t get any extra functions with this Pro theme… The font, that could be loaded/configured at the customizer, I loaded at the functions.php of the child theme (free version of Rock Star). Different colors could be changed via the childs CSS file.

@grobc: You get a lot of features in pro version of the theme compared to the free version. You can check out the additional-features available in pro version of the theme.

Let me know if this helps you out!
    Kind Regards,
    Skandha
