I have problems with the featured content functionality
What I want is a four column featured content with news and pages.
The problem is that featured content demands a picture.
This is a problem for a pager without picture or a Vimeo movie in combination with a featured slider.
It demands to upload a featured image. Problem now is that =he featured image is visible on the page.
You get: 1. featured slider and 2 featured image.
That is not a good visible combination.
What I should like is: a featured slider that is not visible on a certain page or a featured image that is visible in the featured content on the frontpage but not on the page that should be in the featured content functionality.Kind regards

If you have mixed content, then it’s best to use Featured Content type as “Custom”, then you can add the content and image manually from “Appearance => Customize => Featured Content”.

Where is it possible to use Featured Content type as “Custom” in Lucida Pro template.

demo featured page content
featured widget content
featured post content

featured category content
friturend image contentbut not the possibility to use featured content type as mixed.

Ok our development team is changing the name of Featured Image Content to “Custom”. So, you can select “Featured Image Content” for now. Yes, there is no option to use mixed. As Featured Image content is all manual entry, so you can add it any and link to any page or post or video.

November 5, 2018 at 4:14 am #158552HansParticipantThere is still one problem Sakin. I do not see a n image that I added and there is no link ” read more”
My website is synforum.nl This website is under construction. One time to the solution I am looking for. This is a discussion website. Featured content must link to two category pages with latest posts and two “normal” pages with content. It should be great if all featured content parts can display an image and a “read more” link.
If this is not possible, what should be the next best solution?Regards
Hans
November 5, 2018 at 4:49 am #158554HansParticipantNow I can place an image, but the type of font family is the wrong type and the ” read more link” does not work and hasn’t the right color.

November 5, 2018 at 4:55 am #158555SakinKeymasterHi Hans,
I check in your site and found that you have extra css as below, I have just remove it and it’s working fine.
#featured-content .featured-homepage-image { display: none; }
About the link, yes it will not work. It will link in the title and image. We will check that and add it in next version update.

SakinNovember 5, 2018 at 4:58 am #158556SakinKeymasterHi Hans,
For font family, it’s loading “Verdana” font, as you have selected that in “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Font Family Options”.

SakinNovember 5, 2018 at 5:40 am #158564HansParticipantThank you Sakin. I am a bit ashamed now. I tried this yesterday to solve problems and I forgot.
Font family is right now. I saw a difference between font family in featured page content and featured image content. For now I make a read more link myself if it is possible to add html to the text.
Kind regards and thank you for helping.
