    I seem to have got myself into a nice pickle.
    Every time I make a change in customize followed by save and publish I get the message that if I leave the page the changes will not be effective.
    RE-booting does not help
    My backup plugin does not have a restore feature (!)

    Thank you for your response
    I solved the problem.
    I deactivated all plugins and the problem disappeared
    All thats left is to figure out which plugin was at fault (some of them did say they were not tested on the latest WordPress version)

    Hi @fasteddie,

    Sometimes using different plugins can harm the site. Hope you figure out the culprit plugin.
