The blog and the featured content share the excerpt length value from the customize page.

Is it possible to shorten the length of the featured content without affecting the blog page?

@rickm813: hum not so sure about it. But since you are using Featured Page Content. You might want to split the content of that page using more tag <!--more-->. so, only the text above more tag will be shown in Featured Page Content. The more tag is being ignored. The excerpt is being decided by the excerpt option.

@rickm813: You had manual excerpt in your Excerpt Box in page which maybe added from your old theme. That was conflicting. After I delete that it’s working fine.
