    I would like to move the featured slider ‘title & content’ position up so it is nearer to the top of the featured image – so it does not obscure an important part of the picture. can you tell me where I can adjust this please? thx

    @oly: You can just change the top position. For now i have change that to 10%. So, you can just add the following CSS in “Appearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box.
    #main-slider .entry-container { top: 10%; }
