    Hello
    I have received a new functions.php from you so that the images in my slider are arranged randomly. WordPress now reports that an error has occurred with this file. However, everything still works on my homepage. Is there a new version of this file? Here is the error message from WordPress:

    Bug details
    ===============
    An error of the type E_COMPILE_ERROR was caused in line 759 of the file /home/httpd/vhosts/villa-fuente.ch/vah.ch/wp-content/themes/catch-fullscreen-pro/functions.php. Error message: require (): Failed opening required ‘/home/httpd/vhosts/villa-fuente.ch/vah.ch/wp-content/themes/catch-fullscreen-pro/inc/featured-slider.php’ (include_path = ‘.: / usr / share / pear: / usr / share / php’)

    Many thanks for the help.
    With kind regards
    Heinz

    Hello

    This was sent automatically by WordPress. Here the mail is translated.

    Hello!

    Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in function that recognizes when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your website and notifies you with this automated e-mail.

    In this case, WordPress caught a bug in your “Catch Fullscreen Pro” theme.

    First, visit your website (https://vah.ch/) and check for any visible problems. Next, visit the page on which the error occurred (https://vah.ch/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php) and check whether there are any visible problems.

    Please contact your hosting company for assistance in further investigating this issue.

    If your website appears to be buggy and you can no longer access your dashboard as usual, WordPress now has a special “recovery mode”. That way, you can securely log into your dashboard and conduct further research.

    https://vah.ch/wp-login.php?action=enter_recovery_mode&rm_token=u94Rft9JoPc7bdBghpTTse&rm_key=wrSLcMTTm02dqOjtLIkTWX

    To protect your website, this link will expire in 1 day. But don’t worry: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after the deadline.

    When seeking help with this problem, you may be asked for some of the following information:
    WordPress version 5.7.2
    Current theme: Catch Fullscreen Pro (version 3.5.4) Current plugin: (version) PHP version 7.4.18

    @henebe: Hello Heinz,
    Can you try reinstalling the theme? This should solve the issue.

    Let me know if the error persists!
    Kind Regards,
    Skandha

    Hello Skandha
    Then the functions.php will still not work. I copied this into the “inc” directory when I submitted the template. At that time you had set up a sub-template for me because functions.php never ran. I then found out when I copied this directly into the template that it would then work.
    Thank you for your help.
    regards
    Heniz

    Hello Skandha
    I still have one correction. It works with all browsers. Simply the question of the error message and the installation environment is still open.
    regards

    Hello Skandha
    It’s an error message from WordPress. I don’t know when it will come back. It is so that I replaced the functions.php received from you directly with the active theme. Since as written, the sub-template does not work. I also noticed that the random display of the image order only works in Microsoft Edge. Is there a newer version of functions.php? It would be better if this function could be activated directly in the template.
    regards

    @henebe: Hello Heinz,
    To have randomized image on the slider please try using a child theme instead so you don’t have to make changes to the parent theme after every update. Let me know if you are familiar with child theme cusomization so that I can guide you.

    Kind Regards,
    Skandha

    Hello Skandha
    I would have set that up with you once, but it didn’t work. I couldn’t figure out why it doesn’t work. I don’t know if you want to have a look at my system?

    @henebe
    : Hello Heinz,
    I have copied the randomize slider code to the child theme. Can you check it in the child theme if it is working well?

    Kind Regards,

    I did a little more testing. I activate the subordinate template (vah.ch \ wp-content \ themes \ catch-fullscresn-pro-main screen). Then the customized featured-slider.php does not work. Now I have copied this into the superordinate template (vah.ch \ wp-content \ themes \ catch-fullscreen-pro \ inc) and now it works. This means that despite the change, the wrong directory is being accessed.

    Hello Skandha
    Thank you for your help. The problem is the same as before. The customized featured-slider.php, which randomly arranges the slider images, does not work like this. The images are always displayed in the same order.
    regards
