When I go to Customize-Homepage Settings-Homepage/Frontpage Settings and check “Check to Enable Latest Posts and select the Homepage Post Categories I want to use nothing happens. Literally, nothing changes on my page. Maybe I am wrong, but I thought this would bring up a new content section featuring latest posts.

I did figure out how to feature latest posts in the Featured Slider, but that is not ideal.

Any help figuring this out is appreciated.

@erikcave: The homepage settings/frontpage settings seems to work fine at my end. Make sure you have categorized the your posts while you editing your posts and make sure you are selecting the same category in the homepage settings/frontpage settings section.

Let me know what issue you are having while using the featured slider option.

I am not sure what you mean by saying it is working fine at your end. Can you see on my page that the latest posts content is not showing?

I have done what you said, and I still don’t see it.

Also, to be clear, I have no issues with the featured slider.

Go to => Appearance => Customize => (upper)Homepage Settings => Check Your latest post

Go to => Appearance => Customize => (lower)Homepage Settings => Homepage/Frontpage Settings => Check to enable latest post and select the category you want to display.

OK, I think I understand now. The “Check to Enable Latest Posts” is for the blog layout? Is this correct? I thought this would put content block on my static front page featuring latest posts, but I think I was wrong.
