Hi, a few questions regarding SEO and Google.

I currently use “WordPress SEO by Yoast” and try to make every post and every site go as “green” as possible. It works quite well. I also use Facebook, Twitter sharing and I have a newsletter widget to collect email adresses. I will also use Google Analytics.

Do I need more SEO stuff or do I have to do anything more or is that enough?

I´ve seen RSS-Feeds (what the hell is that?) and somewhere I can also type in search tags or search words in simple catch pro and some people also recommend to enhance the footer with some tags or links and whatnot…

Do I need all this or am I already doing enough?

And another question: I made a Google Analytics account yesterday. It doesn´t show anything yet which seems to be normal because it´s so new and my site is also not really open to the public yet (nobody knows about it yet). Do I need to install a Google Analytics Plugin or something or is the “external” Analytics account enough?

Most of my blog posts I cannot find via google search. Only one of my 5 blog posts can be found. Do I have to do anything to tell google that I´m here (or that a new blog post is out) or does Simple Catch Pro tell Google everything on its own?

Yesterday I made a new impressum with my name in it. When I google “my name impressum” nothings comes up. Again: Do I have to do anything or does google just take a few days to be up to date?

Info: I have not shared my website or any of my blog posts yet. Maybe that´s the reason why google sometimes can´t find anything…

@Salome: You question is more related to SEO then Theme. You can hire SEO Consultant to do SEO for your site.

By default WordPress site are optimized for Search Engine and yes, WordPress SEO by Yoast is one of the best plugin to do SEO. Refer to WordPress for SEO guide, they have tell you more about that. You can also build XML site map from that plugin and as per my knowledge that plugin also submit your site to google, yahoo and bing. SEO is something that cannot be accomplish in a day. It takes months and months of hard work to bring up your site.

To show your site in Google Analytics, you need to verify your site by adding google analytic code in your site. You can add that code in “Appearance => Theme Options => Webmaster Tools => Header and Footer Codes => Footer Codes”

    Refer to :
    yoast.com/articles/wordpress-seo
    kb.yoast.com/category/42-wordpress-seo
