Hi,
I have installed your Catch Flames Pro theme and I’m having an issue with the archives page showing the full post no matter what setting I choose. I have tried various lengths on the excerpts ie 1 word – 30 words – 55 words. I have gone into the customiser > theme options > layout options > archive content layout and tried every selection. All display as a full post unless I go into each individual post and put in a ‘read more’ break. I have read your instructions for the theme and viewed your demos but I can’t work out what I’m doing wrong.
Thanks for your time.

To limit excerpts
Go to => Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Excerpt / More Tag Settings => Change the Excerpt length(words) and Publish.Let me know if this works out!
Kind Regards,

I have tried this a number of times. 55 words to 30 words to 1 word and back again. It’s currently set to 10. It hasn’t worked.
Kind regards,

I tried this at my end and the excerpt of posts seems to be changing fine. Can you please try deactivating all your plugins see if the Excerpt Option works?Let me know if the issue persists!

I have just tried deactivating all plugins and the problem is still there.
Also wanted to let you know that setting “Excerpt / More Tag Settings” to “0” causes a “Fatal Error” on the website.
I have been reading other theme message boards and have noted a problem with customising among several themes since the WordPress upgrade to 5.5. I have been having other problems with customising Catch Flames Pro, for example some colour customisations haven’t worked and I’ve had to overwrite with custom CSS. Interesting that some work and others don’t.
Kind regards,

I have worked it out! 🙂 When composing a post I had the Post Format set to Image, changing the format to Standard makes the search results display properly.
Thanks for your time.
Kind regards,
