Hello!

I am using Catch Box theme for this website http://www.bruceselinrealestate.com

The problem is theme’s poor performance on mobile devices such as smart phones. You can also test it by re-sizing your browser, make it much smaller. The menu should become drop down menu as it is here for example  http://catchthemes.com/demo/catchbox/

I am still using version 1.0.7, I could probably solve this problem by updating the theme, but I did a lot of customization and do not really want to do it again…I hope somebody knows how to solve this problem adding some piece of code. Any help is very appreciated!

@vaskrupp: First when you do the heavy customization you need to build child theme and work on it. This will prevent it from loosing your customizing work.

I check in your site and you have already done so much so customization without considering the “Responsive Design” css. So, you need to redo most of the css with the considering custom css.

If I create a child theme, then  copy style.css file there that I have now, leave only the css rules I changed and then do an upgrade of the theme…will it help?

@vaskrupp: How about the other files that you have changed. You need to move all the modified files to the child theme.

@vaskrupp: Yes if you move all the modified version to child theme and if you have done it perfectly then it will work otherwise it will not. So, don’t forget to back up your current changed file before your update. In this case if it doesn’t work then you can delete it and upload your backup theme.

I have backup file for all my files and will use it if I fail…hopefully not=). Anyways, thank you very much for your advice! Since now I will always use child theme! I will let you know if I was able to do it or not.

@vaskrupp: Yes that’s a good approach. As our theme is always being updated with latest patches and new features.

Hi, love the theme. Curious how to insert a logo on the mobile theme? I have one put on the main page, however I’d like the same logo to show up on the mobile version also.

@thetwosents: yes the same logo will be used in your mobile device. It will adjust the size accordingly.
