I am quite new to WordPress so I still don’t really know how to use it properly.
So basically on the simple catch theme, on the home page I applied a background colour to the main content. And I removed the margin on the Custom CSS area along with padding. However, the right margin still shows and I want to get rid of it.
How can I remove the margin?

I would also like to add that I have added a left margin to the posts and comments section only.

Also at the beginning, I did modify a few details on the stylesheet on the editor, as I was not aware of the custom CSS section. So maybe it is this which is the problem? Is there any way to reset it? I would not mind.

It’s actually embarrassing how bad it is ><

I am going to change the background colour, but it’s just that the margin needs to removed first.
