I am trying to set the main background color of this theme, and I cannot find the correct option to change it.
Changing the Background Color in Basic Color Options has no effect.
Also, once I changed the Background Color of my Header Color Options, I cannot figure out how to get it back to the theme’s default gray pattern. Thanks!March 24, 2015 at 11:07 pm #54256
@john: You can change that from your basic color option. Change that background color and click on “Save and Publish”. If you want your default color back then you can just click on that element “Select Color” and then it will show color picket and in the right you will see “Default”. Click on Default and “Save and Publish”.March 25, 2015 at 12:00 am #54263
Thanks for the fast response.
There’s a bug. It doesn’t work. It’s not working because the Gray Pattern image is showing up ON TOP OF the background color.
Also, going back to the Default background color for Header Color Options does not work either.March 25, 2015 at 12:06 am #54265April 7, 2015 at 7:27 pm #55269

@Emmelie Brownlee: Can you post in your site URL? Also explain what’s happening to your site.February 1, 2016 at 4:41 pm #84346
Hi, I`m using Adventurous Pro 3.4, would like to change background color to black or near black (#0a0a0a) at “basic color options”, in preview window it works, in catual site it stays as a grey.
Any ideas, please.February 2, 2016 at 12:56 am #84389
@ulfert: there is some issue with your site. Have you customize the theme files. As I see there is
<body>tag and this is causing you the issue. You might want to delete this one and install a fresh copy of Adventurous Pro Theme.February 2, 2016 at 5:10 am #84402
@ Sakin: Thanks for the info regarding color. I deleted Theme and I reinstalled new (for color issue) and it remains the same? Any idea, please.February 2, 2016 at 8:25 am #84406
@ulfert: There is something wrong with your site. As out theme doesn’t have two
<body>tag. But yours have it. So, I need to check in your server. I will email you for more details.March 10, 2016 at 4:52 am #87189
I found a workaround for this. I had the same problem. Here is what I did:
Using FileZilla, I went into my site’s FTP at the following location:
There is an image in there called bg.jpg. I copied it out to my desktop, opened it in photoshop, changed it to the color I wanted, and replaced it in the ‘images’ folder. That made it the color I wanted. My website is http://www.clevermoderns.com and you can see the light green color on there that I wanted.
I’m pretty sure that when I installed a theme update I had to go back and figure it out all over again and replace the file again, which was kind of a PITA, but I did get it to work. I’m also pretty convinced this is a bug.March 11, 2016 at 9:11 am #87275
@earl_p: Your case is different and you are talking about different thing. In your case, it’s custom background and you don’t need to use FTP to replace that background image. You can replace that image from “Appearance => Customize => Background Image”.March 11, 2016 at 9:12 am #87276

I think you misunderstood me but that’s ok. I was having the same exact color problem as described above. I fixed it by changing the background but if you can do that without using the FTP then that’s good to know, it will make it easier to fix the color that way. Thanks.March 11, 2016 at 11:23 pm #87320
