ParticipantHi,
I need information to add canonical link in order to avoid duplicate content.
Where can I find the “Universal PHP Code for Canonical URLS” in order to add it in the head section of the theme header file?
Many thanks,
Pascal

Keymaster@lichtpascal: Have you used any SEO(search engine optimization) plugins on your site. If yes then please let me know and post in your site URL as well so that I can provide you the best possible solution after viewing your Website.

ParticipantHi Tikaram,
Thanks for your reply.
After installing Adonis pros I decided to stop every SEO plugin I had on my page. I had “all in one SEO pack pro” and toast.
Now the only active is jetpack that just give me the opportunity to have a site map …I think I had to many SEO plugin working together, than I start to have problems.
Now my SEO software is saying me that I have duplicate page, so they suggest to use canonical link to avoid this problem that impact on my ranking. But I’m not for using code and I don’t know nothing about java and so on… Unfortunately.
Thanks.

Keymaster@lichtpascal: It looks like you have activated catch web tools plugin.
Login to your WordPress admin panel.
Go to Catch Web Tools => Webmaster Tools
Under Enable Webmaster Module: click on check to enable and save changes.
Click on Header and Footer Scripts and enter the canonical URL code in the paragraph corresponding to wp_head(). Let me know if this helps resolve your issue.Regards,

ParticipantYes, I activated Catch Web Tools => Webmaster Tools , but I don’t know which is the canonical URL code to enter. Have I to copy it from the header.php in the “edit-theme” section?
Thanks.

Keymaster@lichtpascal: This topic lies more on the Plugin territory rather than the theme and its related with Search Engine Optimization. I suggest you to seek professional help of an expert if you do not have knowledge in the respective field.
