By far the worst aspect of premium themes is the difficulty in updating. There’s the hassle of going through FTP and checking which files are newer, also the time wasted. So I tried the Catch Updater plugin to update my Catch Responsive Pro. The install fails: “Destination folder already exists. /public_html/wp/wp-content/themes/catch-responsive-pro/”. So I am back to the horrible FTP process again šŸ™ unless someone can help me fix the updater?

@pixelwarrior: Using Catch Updater Plugin should not give such error. Please check the tutorial video for Catch Updater Plugin in the link below. Hope this helps.
Let me know if the problem persists.

    Hello Mahesh
I followed the instructions exactly as per the video and I still get Destination Folder Already Exists. Below is the exact message that I copied and pasted after I tried:

Installing Theme from uploaded file: catch-responsive-pro.3.8.1.zip

Unable to initialize WP_Filesystem. Will not proceed with the update.

    Unpacking the packageā€¦

    Installing the themeā€¦

    Destination folder already exists. /public_html/wp/wp-content/themes/catch-responsive-pro/

    Theme install failed.

@pixelwarrior: Seems the issue is caused because of the server. You’ll have to manually update the theme through FTP. Navigate to the themes folder of the server with FTP and upload and replace the whole folder and its content once uploading finishes your theme will be updated.

Let me know if any problem.

    Regards,
    Mahesh
