I was wondering what the CSS was to remove the Social Media Widget from the top of the theme (Catch Everest) was. Thanks!

Also- will removing the social media links in the header reduce the padding that is currently there? http://www.cakecooksglutenfree.com

To hide the header right section where there is social icon. Just go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Header Right Section” and then check to Disable Header Right Section and click on save button.

I just check in your site and see that you have remove the site title and description from “Settings => General”. Don’t remove from there. This is important for Search Engine. You just hide it from CSS. No need to remove form there.

Oh yikes. What do I need to do in CSS to hide the title and description in the CSS? Thanks so much for seeing that!

One other question- I know I have heard people talking about using Child Theme as the base because once you update theme, or upgrade, that you lose your changes. I guess I am not totally clear on that. Is it just using that as the base? I want to upgrade to Pro, but don’t want to lose everything!

@kalalilys: The customization though Theme Options and Custom CSS is fine. If you want to edit any core theme function then child theme is necessary. I see in your setting that site tile and description is hidden. So, just add it.
