For some reason my post page simply list all my post, in whole. Two of my sites do this:

    http://trentgriffinhomes.com/wp/listings
    http://trentgriffin.com/news

On my other Catch site, the post page displays the slider and the post are formatted to a summary style.
    like this: http://cathygriffinhomes.com/listings

How can I get the top two site to look like the bottom one? Thoughts?
One I get this set I’m going Pro!

@trentbuzz: Check your settings at “Appearance => Theme Options => Layout Options” box, you need to select “Excerpt/Blog Display” on Content Layout.

I made the change on both of them and it did not work. It changed the post to an excerpt, rather than the full blog, but there is no formatting. No slider either.

I left them like you suggested so you could take a look.

@trentbuzz: The excerpt mode display the excerpt text only. But if you want to split content using the Full Content mode. Then check back to full content mode and then split the content using “The More Tag” See this http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/

I don’t want to split content- I need the post to be formatted. I want the layout to look like this: http://www.cathygriffinhomes.com/listings

I need the featured slider at the top and the post to be formatted with the except and a featured image to the left, just as the site above has.

At one time the post page worked exactly as I wanted it to. I changed the name of the page that it was shown on from “blog” to “news” and it seem to break it.

@trentbuzz: If you want just as above site then why don’t you use Simple Catch Pro theme. This theme is different and canot be made same. These two are totally different theme and cannot be compared.

I am 99% sure, at one time, the everest theme displayed the post/blog page exactly the same way as the simple catch. It had the feat. post slider at the top and it was formatted…but maybe an update took it away? Any Everest site I can check out for an example?

Currently, with Everest, I am not able to add a side bar on the blog/post page either. It is like the page is unable to be formatted all together… is that possible? I’ve just got too much time in the site to change themes now.

    thanks

@trentbuzz: Do you check out the theme instruction http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-everest/.

Did you check your Layout Options. For sidebar, you need to select “Right Sidebar” or “Left Sidebar”. Overall site setting, you need to select from “Appearance => Theme Options => Layout Options”. You can also change the individual page and post settings from your page and post editor “Select Sidebar Layout Options”.

I just updated my CE theme and now the slider is no longer recognizing the second two featured posts. The post slider was working fine before the update. All the suggestions below have been checked and are set. Has anyone found a solution to this issue?

@cabrals: I just check in your site and the slider is working fine.
