    Hi,

    I added social media buttons in the footer area. They are displayed in the backend in the life preview but not in the frontend. What shall I do? I checked the links and they are all right.. they are working out of the backend.

    @webtussi: I check in your site http://new.aquariumcomputer.com/de/ but your site is in maintenance mode and I cannot view it. Also your admin will be accessible only to admin users.

    So, once you add Social widgets from “Appearance => Widgets” to your footer widget area. Did you add in Your social profile URL from “Appearance => Customize => Social Links => Social Links”.

    Hi,

    thank you Sakin, but yes I did. As I said before, the links are working in the live preview of the backend.

    Perhaps it has something to do with the upload. As mentioned before, I can´t see the social-media-icons in the frontend on my computer, but the funny thing is, if I look at the site from another computer the icons are there and working.

    Strange thing, though.

    Problem solved? I don´t know, because I don´t think this is how it should be.

    Any explanations for that?

    @webtussi: How do I check in when you site is in maintenance mode. Your site needs to be live to check in.

    Hi,

    I turned it of. I will set the page again to maintenace at 5 pm. That is in about 5,5 hours.

    @webtussi: Social Icons are showing in your site. I can see it under Header Toggle and also in your Footer Widget Area. Did you refresh your browser and check in. See this screenshot http://www.awesomescreenshot.com/0025d3vj28

    Ah, I didn´t think about that. I refreshed it with opressing button F5, this seems obviously not to be sufficiant.

    Now I deleted the cache in my browser, again nothing….

    But I believe you… I think in time they will show.

    I ran into this too. Seems to only happen in Firefox (current version: 44).

    Flickr and Tumblr icons show, but Facebook, Twitter and G+ do not.

    Hi Sakin,

    Very weird, but I just checked in Firefox and they’re all showing up now. I’ll keep an eye on it.
