Hi guys,
This error:
Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas08_data03/28/2754728/html/wp-content/themes/catch-responsive-pro/inc/customizer-includes/catchresponsive-customizer.php on line 110pops up when I go into the customize appearance area. I have a menu item that uses “void” as it doesn’t link to any pages (I wanted to have a parent menu item for a couple of child pages). Could that be causing it?
August 21, 2015 at 9:52 am #64759SakinKeymaster@Patrick: Please update theme to latest version. We updated all our Premium/Pro theme yesterday to make it WordPress 4.3 compatible.
No so sure about your issue. So, first update the theme and check in. Also clear your cache after you update it.
August 21, 2015 at 4:50 pm #64790PatrickParticipantI’m not sure how to upgrade…under the Dashboard there was an “Upgrade” option, but it said everything was up to date. I DID upgrade the Catch Theme Tools plugin. I read your FAQs page, it said I had to upload the new ZIP file….I haven’ done that yet.
August 21, 2015 at 4:55 pm #64792SakinKeymaster@Patrick: It’s mentioned in theme instructions page at http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-responsive-pro/#updating
August 21, 2015 at 9:26 pm #64801PatrickParticipantOk, the theme has been updated….far as I know. I looked on the server, and the file dates are all today’s date. Still getting the error though
August 21, 2015 at 9:29 pm #64802PatrickParticipantOh wait…just logged in again and it was gone. I think I’m good now.
August 22, 2015 at 2:06 am #64814cindyParticipantI’m also getting this message – it’s preventing me from making changes using the Customizer. I can make a change by going directly to Widgets, for exammple, but NOT going through the theme Customizer).
Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /home2/travgal/public_html/wp-content/themes/catch-responsive-pro/inc/customizer-includes/catchresponsive-customizer.php on line 110
As far as I can tell I have everything up-to-date. . .
http://explorationvacation.net/Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
August 23, 2015 at 5:10 pm #64996SakinKeymaster@cindy: You are using Ca5tch Responsive Pro 3.0 where as the latest version is 3.2 http://catchthemes.com/themes/catch-responsive-pro/. So, you need to update to latest version. For update, please follow the instructions mentioned in theme instructions page at http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-responsive-pro/#updating
October 19, 2015 at 8:50 pm #78147cindyParticipantI’m back to trying to figure this out. The admin pages say the latest version is now 3.3, my account says 3.4. I’d like to load through the Admin panel, but that doesn’t seem to work. I’ve tried two different ways and both times it tells me the upload failed. Any suggestions?
October 19, 2015 at 8:54 pm #78148cindyParticipantI’m running off a child theme – does that change updating the main theme?
October 20, 2015 at 12:32 pm #78210SakinKeymaster@cindy: You can either use FTP or Catch Updater plugin. If you are using Catch Updater plugin then when you update the theme the parent theme needs to be activated. Then after the update, you can re-active your child theme.
October 21, 2015 at 9:48 pm #78322cindyParticipantNope. That did’t solve the problem. I keep getting a fail message either using the theme updater or when doing it from the zip file.
The update process is starting. This process may take a while on some hosts, so please be patient.
Enabling Maintenance mode…
Updating Theme Catch Responsive Pro (1/1)An error occurred while updating Catch Responsive Pro: Update package not available.
Disabling Maintenance mode…
All updates have been completed.
and
Installing Theme from uploaded file: catch-responsive-pro.3.4.zip
Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
Destination folder already exists. /home2/travgal/public_html/wp-content/themes/catch-responsive-pro/
Theme install failed.
I’m kind of hoping I don’t have to use FTP. . .
Any suggestions?
October 21, 2015 at 10:16 pm #78325SakinKeymaster@cindy: Did you use Catch Updater plugin and followed the instructions. I will email you for assistance.
October 22, 2015 at 3:57 am #78349cindyParticipantIs there some updater plugin besides the catch web tools?
October 22, 2015 at 5:53 pm #78361SakinKeymaster@cindy: There is Catch Updater plugin that you will find in http://catchthemes.com/wp-plugins/catch-updater/. You can download zip file and then upload it from “Plugins => Add New => Uploads”.
October 22, 2015 at 7:50 pm #78373cindyParticipantFound it (finally) and all is working well. You have great products.
