    I would like to change the color of the footer menu bar ?

    @Tekstiltrold: To change the footer menu bar color just add the following CSS in your “Custom CSS” box in Theme Options panel.
    #colophon #access-footer { background: none #000000; }

    I tried to paste the CSS in the ‘Custom CSS’ box in Theme Options panel, but the color will not change, this is the where there is a secondary menu bottom on my blog, if you could look on myblog, you will se the dark grey box with text from the secondary menu

    background-color: #05a0a8;
    color: #fff;
    }

    above the footer css I send you. You need to delete that.
