    The text displayed on the featured slider is attempting to show the entire post. This used to display just the first 100 words or so of the post, but for some undetermined reason, no longer works that way.

    The caption box is now huge and shows too much text, images from the post and short codes used by plugins. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    @BigA2015: There is two changes for this issue.
    1. Conflict with other plugins. So, try disabling plugin and check in.
    2. After disabling plugin, check your settings at “Appearance => Theme Options => Excerpt/More tag Settings”

    That fixed it! The plugin ‘Map Images’ (Version 1.4.2) was causing the issue. Disabled the plugin and reset the the ‘Excerpt/More Tag’ setting and it fixed the featured slider.

    I am having the same problem via Godaddy wordpress management. I dont see anything regarding that Map Images in the Plug in tab. What can I do?

    @coldsoresuperstar: Can you share your site URL so that I can check in. There might be conflicting with other plugins. So, try disabling plugin one by one.

    @coldsoresuperstar: Ok you are taking about Featured Page Content, you can split content using more tag <!--more-->. So, it will only show the text before more tag.
