Hello,
I love the Catch Everest theme and am currently using the free version, updated to the latest version.
One menu ‘screen’ I have set up displays posts from a specific category:
http://theeschercycle.com/category/case-studies/This used to work fine, but now doesn’t.
The problem is that as the user scrolls down, the text of the second post disappears as you get to viewing the end of the second post.I thought it might be a problem with codes in a particular post, but unpublishing the latest one results in the same problem, so I think it is theme-related.
The first post displays fine.
The second post begins to display fine.
But then when the bottom of the second post appears on screen, the whole text of the second post disappears.Help! please.
Thank you,
Finn

If you can resolve this issue for me I am happy to upgrade to the Pro version, but I don’t see the point in paying for the Pro if it is going to have bugs like this (which of course I don’t know until after I have paid for it…).February 13, 2015 at 12:56 am #51603SakinKeymaster@FinnJackson: No need to pay if you are happy with the free version. I will provide support for both free and paid version. But I don’t understand your issue in Case Study category. It is displaying 10 posts. Can you explain please?
February 13, 2015 at 4:16 pm #51653FinnJacksonParticipantHi Sakin,
On my browser (?) visiting that page http://theeschercycle.com/category/case-studies/ I see the first post, then as I scroll down I see the second. Then as I reach the bottom of the second, the text of the whole second post disappears, and the remainder are blank also. (But I can see the ‘share’ icons for FB, Twitter, etc..)
If you do not see the issue then I guess it is a problem with a plugin for my browser??
Weird.
If you can visit the page and confirm all posts are displaying properly as you scroll down then I will sit and scratch my head and wonder what to do about it…
Also, I believe in paying for what I use and would like to upgrade to the pro. (I started with the free version to test whether it worked or not.)
If I upgrade to professional ($40?) do I get exactly the same theme as the free version, or are there differences? Many thanks,
FinnFebruary 13, 2015 at 5:49 pm #51658FinnJacksonParticipantHello Sakin,
As a workaround, I have added the relevant posts to sub-menus beneath ‘Case Studies’.
I now have a new problem, which is that the fourth level of menu (Case Studies / Companies / The Guardian / Membership Strategy) does not display fully but cuts off at the edge of the page.
1) Are you able to fix this?
2) Would it work correctly if I bought the pro version? Many thanks again,
FinnFebruary 13, 2015 at 11:02 pm #51695SakinKeymaster1. Yes, I can see all 10 posts displaying with any loading issue. I tried it from all the browser. So, yes please check in your computer browser and maybe you want to try from different browser.
2. Yes, if you upgrade to pro version. You will get more then free version. Catch Everest Pro is build in Catch Everest free but with additional features. For additional features list you can check theme instructions page at http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-everest-pro/
3. I think you are looking at your site from small screen. In that case you can add the following css in “Appearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box:
.site { overflow: visible; }
February 15, 2015 at 11:28 pm #51771FinnJacksonParticipantHello Sakin,
Thanks again.
My screen is actually quite large (1920×1200) so that is not the problem.
My problem is that the three case studies at:
\case studies\companies\the guardian
do not display wider than the ‘featured post slider’, or the central display are of the theme. In other words, these three titles do not display into the grey margin at the right but instead cut off.
Is this different for you?
Would the .site {overflow: visible; } fix this?
Would the pro version fix this? Many thanks again,
Finn
February 16, 2015 at 1:17 am #51780SakinKeymaster@FinnJackson: Can you post in your screenshot URL as I don’t see issue. that overflow visible is for the menu.
February 16, 2015 at 4:05 pm #51822FinnJacksonParticipantHello Sakin,
Here is the screenshot you asked for:
http://theeschercycle.com/screenshot-for-sakin/In Chrome I still get the original error on the Case Studies screen — the posts all disappear when I scroll down as far as the third one.
Thanks again for your help,
FinnFebruary 16, 2015 at 7:13 pm #51831SakinKeymaster@FinnJackson: Yes for this, can you add in the following css in “Appearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box:
.site { overflow: visible; }
February 16, 2015 at 8:13 pm #51835FinnJacksonParticipantAdded and is working, thank you.
Now, I wonder why the http://theeschercycle.com/category/case-studies/ won’t display past post 2, but I guess that is my issue not yours (?).
Chrome version 40.0.2214.111
February 16, 2015 at 8:22 pm #51836SakinKeymaster@FinnJackson: I am also using same chrome and it’s displaying fine. Are you talking about different issue. Can you send me screenshot of the issue. So, that I can confirm it.
February 16, 2015 at 9:27 pm #51841FinnJacksonParticipantSakin,
Here is a post with two relevant screenshots and explanation:http://theeschercycle.com/two-screenshots-for-sakin/
The problem does NOT replicate in my Safari browser, so my GUESS is that is an issue with something I have added to Chrome (eg Adblock Plus??), which also disables the hyperlinks in the second Post Title (and onwards)…
Any help you can give to fixing this or suggesting where I might look to fix it would be most welcome.
February 16, 2015 at 10:04 pm #51842SakinKeymaster@FinnJackson: Yes, can you disable that adblock plus and check in. As it’s showing fine in my Chrome version 40.0.2214.111
February 16, 2015 at 11:47 pm #51846FinnJacksonParticipantNot sure quite what you mean, but yes I have disabled Adblock and still have the problem. (Adblock was already disabled for this page.)
What I meant was that something like Adblocker (which I have not yet disabled) must be interfering with the browser…
If you can help that would be great.
Otherwise it is mostly my problem (although you might like to know of browser add-ins that interfere with your theme).
February 16, 2015 at 11:49 pm #51847FinnJacksonParticipantAnd PS
I realise they are called ‘extensions’ not add-ins.February 16, 2015 at 11:51 pm #51848FinnJacksonParticipantAnd now I am at a loss because the only extensions I have installed are:
Adblock Plus (disabled for this site)
Application Launcher for Drive (by Google)
Google Docs
TinEye Reverse Image SearchI can’t imagine that any of them would interfere with the theme…
February 16, 2015 at 11:51 pm #51849SakinKeymaster@FinnJackson: Yes not sure why it’s not showing in your side. But I am sure it’s about your browser configuration and extensions.
February 16, 2015 at 11:58 pm #51850FinnJacksonParticipantReading this page: http://docs.pagelines.com/support-troubleshooting/common-issues
I have navigated to View → Developer → JavaScript Console.
and it shows me four times: “Failed to load resource: net::ERR_FAILED”
And on the right side, there are five different messages:
2chrome-extension://boadgeojelhgndaghljhdicfkmllpafd/cast_sender.js
2chrome-extension://dliochdbjfkdbacpmhlcpmleaejidimm/cast_sender.js
2chrome-extension://hfaagokkkhdbgiakmmlclaapfelnkoah/cast_sender.js
2chrome-extension://fmfcbgogabcbclcofgocippekhfcmgfj/cast_sender.js
2chrome-extension://enhhojjnijigcajfphajepfemndkmdlo/cast_sender.js
I have no idea what cast_sender.js is
Is this likely to be causing the problem?
Can you advise?February 17, 2015 at 12:00 am #51851SakinKeymaster@FinnJackson: Yes, I told you. It is showing that extension has issue. We don’t have.
