@nosho18: Sorry for getting late on this issue. I have tested the latest version of the theme with the latest version of the plugin and I could not find any issue as described by you. As you have already mentioned you have disabled all the plugins. Please try repeating the same process again and make sure you clear the cache before checking the page. @rodeboy: The recommended size for the background image is 1920*1080 px. I do not recommend you to restrict the height by css as the height is generated dynamically during run-time. The height is generated by JavaScript. You may add the images of the people appearing in the testimonial section that may greatly enhance the look of your site. Let me know if you have any more issues.

@giro: Make sure that you have added featured image to your each products and do not forget to enable the option to display featured images on your site. You will need to have header media enabled on your site with option page/post Featured image option enabled.
