To remove the Instagram Section
Go to => Appearance => Customize => Widgets => Instagram => Catch Instagram Feed Gallery and Widget => Remove the widget and Publish.

@afrancois: You will need to use Featured Content Post Type using Essential Content Type Plugin for that slug to work.

Alternately what you can do is categorize all you featured content post into a single category then you can use that particular categories archive link.
For example: If the category is featured the link shall be www.yourdomain.com/category/blog/
