1. It is showing fine when I select “Featured Widget Content” from Appearance => Customize => Featured Content => Featured Content Options => Select Content Type” and added widgets in “Featured Widget Content” from “Appearance => Widgets”. So, are you sure you added widgets in Featured Widget Content.
2. Sorry there is no option for this. What you can do there is select “Featured Image Content” and upload image, link and content as per your need.

@RimFrost: If you want to add in style.css file then you need to add in your child theme style.css file. You shouldn’t edit/add any files inside catch-responsive theme directory. As all these files will be reverted back to original when you update the theme and you customization will be lost.

Also if you add that in your css in your style.css, it should work. I don’t see your css in style.css file at http://gigaphon.promotionnoire.de/wp-content/themes/catch-responsive/style.css
