    Hi,
My travel blog is mostly about photos. I post only good quality sharp images but once they are in my blog they do not look sharp. On some computer they look better than on another. Strange, they look really nice on my phone. I am currently working on post from Montreal Notre-Dame Basilica and my pictures are stunning. I can see every little detail, shades of light etc. Other people were telling me before that my photos on Facebook look much better than the ones they see in my blog. The basilica photos showed me how much sharpness is gone. I was aware about the compression issue so I always resize my images before I upload them. That does not help. I put so much effort into my pictures but my viewers are not able to see it. Is there anything that could be done? Please help, it is so discouraging!
    Thanks,
    Yvonne

Thank you! I did update it, but I was scared to do it. I am always afraid that I might loose something! Now, I finally have to address it. How do I back up my site? I have no clue. If my site ever crashes, I would be devastated. Please advise!

This is to show you what I mean. Please see my recent post (about credit cards) how it repeats the title and says posted by Yvonne Jasinski on April 25 ….
versus older ones just picture, title and text https://www.facebook.com/openroadsbyyvonne?ref=aymt_homepage_panel

I understand. It is is a terrible disaster!
I am in a little bit of mental crises about my blog. I thought I had it under control. Do not understand how posting on social made would make changes on its own. It use to be fine and not it is not. I do not follow your instructions above, other than to install new plug in. Another major stressor, Google tells me that my site was hacked. I contacted Ipage and they sort of agree but the list of possible hacked links looks like parts of my plugins. They gave me instructions how to fix it but there is no way I can do it. I will have to call programer to do it for me. I cannot afford it. Can I keep my site the way it is? What kind of harm can be done to me page? Thanks!

I hope this is not under plugin. I need help. I do not know what happened but when I post a link on Google plus it is practically showing my home page.

Yvonne’s Travel Blog. “Once you have traveled, the voyage never ends, but is played out over and over again in the quietest chambers. The mind can never break off from the journey.” ― Pat Conroy. Primary Menu. Skip to content. Home · About me · Travel blog · How to travel for free …

When I post on Facebook it looks better but still, it repeats the title and shows when it was posted. Before the preview would show just beginning of my post text.

Boy, am I glad I was able to find you again! I went through thousands of emails to find the link to our conversation.
K need help with subscribe to my blog button.
    1. I would like a large blue button that says follow and then drops down to give a option to put an email in. I want it on every page and post under my Facebook and Google+ page.
2.I do not like how underneath all posts the opening for comment is so huge – I still have some things below that I prefer to be visible. Can it be just one line that extends when needed? Thanks,
    Yvonne

    Hello,
    http://www.yvonnestravel.com
I need your help again at least to tell me where to direct this question. I called Ipage and they told me to contact WordPress. Under my stats referrals I noticed search error and it shows number. Yeasterday it was 12!
    It says search-error.com.index.php?origURL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.yvonnestravel.com
Any idea why this is happening and how to correct it?

Also, I would like my pictures’ captions to show in black and bold. The way it is now, it is easy to miss it.
    Thanks!

OK, I understand, thank you for trying!
I have a new issue. I would like to add like me on Facebook and Google+ buttons on each page and each post at the bottom of the page.

    Perfect! Thank you.
I am not sure if this one is for you. I am trying to link my blog to Google+. I downloaded a file to my computer then to my site. Then I followed a link provided and it says “site under construction” so could not finish. Should I change something within my site?

I used your directions you gave to someone else to make my primary menu font bold.
I would like to do the same for my secondary menu. How can I do it? Thanks!

1.There is some improvement, still a lot wasted space. What I would like to do is to remove header text from underneath the picture and put it up inside of the body of the picture. There is a lot of sky that could be written over.
    And/or:
    a. Yvonne’s Travel Blog – change it to smaller font
    b. reduce space between two menus to minimum or remove it entirely
    c. make space above the header picture even smaller

    2. It worked but it did the same to the home page. I want my home page to stay the way it is now, as far as which elements are showing there.

    3 & 4 – worked, thank you!

Hello, after some feedback from my viewers I would like to ask you for help again.

    1. The slide show should be more visible. There is a lot of wasted space above the heather picture. I would the picture to be on the very top of the screen with a minimal border or even none.

    2. When people click on any menu items it looks like nothing happens and they need to scroll down to see what they were looking for. I would like the home page items not to show on any other pages. Only two menu bars should stay on the top of the page. Remove heater picture, title of the blog, and “once you travel..”

    3. When I click on Travel Blog, the first thing I see on the top of the page is Travel Blog. I want to remove it and show just the posts.

    4. When linking from anywhere in a blog to a post, what I see is for example “Category Archives, New Jersey” on the top of the page. I would like to remove it and show posts only.

    5. Is there a way to go back from publish to draft?

    Thanks!

    It worked-perfect! Thanks a lot!

    I have two more questions.

    1. Is there a way to visually separate posts? I think there is a tiny horizontal line in between but I am not sure. If there is, can it be stronger? Any other ways? When people are scrolling down I would like them to see which picture and which title go together.

    2. Secondary menu. For example: The West. I created subcategories: Colorado, Utah, Arizona. When someone clicks on The West, I would like to have a drop down menu which would show: Colorado, Utah, Arizona. Only after clicking on state, person would be redirected to a post from that state.

    Thank you in advance!

I changed from capital letters to lower case letters and that took care of the height of the bar and put search in the same row as other items of primary menu. So this almost what I wanted, but now I want it to be centered on the page or going across the page just like secondary menu.
    Thanks you again!
