ParticipantHi mate – I’m just a fellow user and while I have no idea how to answer your question – I can tell you that if you add the CATCH WEB TOOLS plugin (which you can do direct from wordpress) then catch up[dater is included and you can activate it there.
Give it a ago at any rate.Michael
ParticipantOops forgot to show existing URL of Catch flames version

Participantgmcd – I think you are confusing two different things.
The free support (included in your theme purchase) is via the support forum for the pro version.
(That is, where you have posted). The PREMIUM support is available at an additional cost, see https://catchthemes.com/membership/
No doubt your follow up question is “Then what’s the difference between their support for free and pro versions?”
In my experience it seems that:
– Requests in the Pro support forum appear to be handled as a priority, before those in the free support forum.
– Answers and assistance available in the Pro support forum is generally more detailed After all, Catch want you to get the best from your paid-for theme; and are happy to do that. I’ve always been impressed by their support via the forum.Cheers
Michael
ParticipantSharael further to that, you may be able to find a font similar to what you want in the google fonts list https://fonts.google.com/ and I’m confident that the Catch Themes people could then offer a solution.
Michael
ParticipantI installed the essential content types plugin but there doesn’t seem to be anywhere to input the person’s position.
Hopefully this thread will help you. I believe the testimonials work in exactly the same way.
https://catchthemes.com/support-forum/topic/testimonials-4/Is there a way to hide the “author” of each post? The author name shows up on every page, service, testimonial, etc…which doesn’t make much sense for a company website.
This may help https://catchthemes.com/support-forum/topic/commenting/
Good luck.
Michael
ParticipantWhy is this forum and theme hidden on your website? I installed the theme through WordPress theme search but can’t find it listed anywhere on your website and in the forums unless I go to the URL directly.
Good pickup. It’s available from the ‘select theme’ drop-down menu at the top of the page, but not in the board list as you say.
https://catchthemes.com/support-forum/It seems there must be a limit to how many can be listed on the one page and it finishes at pop rock pro !
Presumably the Catch Themes people will be able to make an adjustment to the forum software to fix this issue.

ParticipantReview submitted 🙂

ParticipantSAh I didn’t realise position text was needed. I assumed just name would show otherwise.
In any event I have it working now, thank you very much !Michael
ParticipantThat code did the job, thanks.
Very likely will get pro but I need to do a mock up as much as is possible in the free version in order to convince the website owner to choose to invest the $ 🙂
(I use a catch pro theme on my own website so am certainly in favour of doing so)
Michael
ParticipantThe excerpt thing works, thanks.
URL is staging.nourishedpathways.com.au
Michael
ParticipantAlso how to get rid of “posted on June 5,2019” for Projects (for example)
Michael
ParticipantThanks for that. I appreciate it.
June 4, 2019 at 12:12 am in reply to: Website not displaying properly in IE Browser (Internet Explorer Windows 10) #174031Michael
ParticipantIE doesn’t render many sites properly, particularly some graphic elements. (albeit yours seems to be an extreme case so there may also be something else going on there).
IE is effectively ‘end of life’ and while I know there are a lot of people still using it, not much is designed these days with full IE compatibility in mind.
Have you tried other browsers – namely chrome, firefox and safari (i.e. the most popular modern ones) and does it work properly in all of those?
June 3, 2019 at 11:10 pm in reply to: Can testimonials be included in a Catch Flames (free) site? #174025Michael
ParticipantThanks.
I tried that essential content types but as far as I can see there isn’t any way of formatting the testimonials to look good – just a set font etc?
By comparison the way they look in the construction theme I mentioned is much better.
Am I missing something as far as the plugin goes?
Michael
ParticipantThis is not an official response – just from my own experience as a pro user.
The download link will work for you for one year from date of purchase, in terms of the licence (that’s the free updates for one year).
After that time you’ll need to re-purchase the theme so you can download again.
Hopefully you should have a backup from when you downloaded it back in 2017. That can still be installed.
I’m sure the catch theme staff will be along to clarify for you 🙂
Michael
ParticipantDid you
1. Download the updated theme version from catch themes
2, Upload it via ‘add theme’ in WordPress ?The theme cannot be updated directly from within WP you must update the file.
(That’s my experience at any rate).
Michael
ParticipantNot sure what you mean by the first line?
My sites are http://www.landyvlad.net and http://www.gayundah.info
Michael
ParticipantAny ideas, or is there no way to accomplish this?
Would <iframe src=”http://externalpage/” width=”800px” height=”800px”></iframe>
work or is iframe not best practise nowadays?Michael
ParticipantQ1: so in
background:url(blockquote-bg.jpg) no-repeat;
Do I need to put that just as is, or do I put the URL specific to me and if so is that a relative or full URL ?
Q2: Oh and by the way that code for the indent you provided earlier
blockquote {
margin-left:40px;
}doesn’t work. I’ve tried it both in front of and after the existing blockquote code. I’ve even trued to alter the expression to the 4 variable format within the existing blockquote code, to make a 40px LH margin. No luck.
Perhaps I’m missing something? It’s likely my fault.. 🙂
Thanks again for your ongoing assistance with this it is REALLY appreciated.
Michael
ParticipantAgain that works – thank you so much.
If I might ask just one additional little thing.
I have this as per the high-responsive theme:
blockquote { border:0 solid #1a1a1a; border-left-width:4px; color:#777; font-size:19px; font-style:italic; line-height:1.4736842105; margin:0 0 1.4736842105em; overflow:hidden; padding:0 0 0 1.263157895em; background:none; }
and would like to keep that as is, but merely add the quote symbol from the simple-catch theme,
(https://catchthemes.com/demo/simplecatch/wp-content/themes/simple-catch/images/blockquote-bg.jpg)leaving all else the same.
And if you could tell me where to put the symbol so it can be referenced locally rather than having to call on the catch themes sites each time, that would be best.I hope this makes sense.
Thank you again.
