    ..or is there no “automatic update” for 3.0-> 3.1 like before and we have to do it via download,upload,unpack….like a new theme?

    yes, I installed the Catch Updater Plugin.
    No, I did not download the package again, cause i thought it is done automatically, like last time, when updating to 3.0

    Child Themes are disabled / not in use.
