    just to add on, I have deactivated all the plugins and it could work using default themes. I have removed additional CSS and the issue persists. However, it will somehow work if I’m logged in with the header menu from wordpress being present, such that the nav menu is slightly pushed lower….

    I found the issue is with the jetpack autoupdate removing the portfolios. have reactivated them.
