    Hi

    I’m rebuilding a website for a friend to replace one I built in HMTL (via Dreamweaver) about 7-8 years ago. It’s my first time using word press so I’m a novice and am probably missing something REALLY obvious… but…

    I have created a couple of dummy pages for the gallery to test it out however the galleries widget does not display on the sidebar (it is located between the map and testimonials on the widgets settings page) and there is no link on the menu bar across the top to galleries (would love to be able to do both of these).

    I originally already had a holding page called ‘gallery’ created before activating the theme – could this have caused a bug?

    http://t-v-s.aliverelocate.com/gallery exists but I have no way of directing people to it other than adding in a url link to text on a page.

    I’m sure I’m missing something basic but it is driving me mad!

    @Ed: For most of the question first please check the Theme Instruction page http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-mustang/

    You can add any page, post, gallery from Custom Menu. Go to “Appearance => Menus” and build custom menu when you can just select the page, post, gallery and categories you want in menu and then add to menu. See this for more details about custom menu http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/

    I don’t see that you have added “Catchthemes: Featured Gallery” widget in sidebar.

    Yes, the gallery page might be conflicting. You should change or delete it.

    You can add your gallery page in Custom menu as explain in above paragraph.

    Yes, it’ bit difficult to jump to WordPress theme directly from HTML/CSS. But I will try to help you as much as I can.

    @Sakin: Thanks for your note.

    Bizarrely by disabling the right sidebar in the options it has at least made the gallery title appear. However my new challenge is even though I have added a gallery to a page it no longer appears on the page. I have a header with all of the links and then the next section down with the navigation to the page however NO IMAGES APPEAR. It is as if all of the body of the page has been hidden. Also, no images appear below the ‘Test Gallery 1’ text on the right sidebar. I’m guessing these are related.

    See here: http://t-v-s.aliverelocate.com/gallery/test-gallery-1/

    Hi

    I’ve reinstalled the theme from scratch and it seems to have fixed it.

    @Sakin

    The bug has reappeared. I created a couple of galleries without a problem however on the third or forth gallery page the same problem occurred again (gallery pages were creating without any gallery in them). To trace the fault down I have recreated this page (http://t-v-s.aliverelocate.com/gallery/retro-fit/) on this page (http://t-v-s.aliverelocate.com/gallery/fault-test/). The pages in Word Press look identical (obviously apart from the title) however when you check the html source the gallery is completely missing from the ‘fault test’ page (open the source and search for ‘service’ – compare one to the other and you will see the coding is completely missing).

    I have tried reinstalling Mustang. No joy – no gallery will create. I have tried reinstalling WP – still no joy.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

    @Ed: I think there is some steps that you are missing. I will contact you in email and work on your site.
