Hi I have Catch Responsive Pro Version: 2.0. It says 3.0 is available for update – do you have documentation pr step by step help to guide me through the update process? Thanks

Hi Sakin,
I have tried to update the theme from 2.0 to 3.3 using the Catch Updater plugin. Had the following error messages:

Installing Theme from uploaded file: catch-responsive-pro.3.3.zip
Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
Destination folder already exists. /httpdocs/wordpress/wp-content/themes/catch-responsive-pro/
Theme install failed.

Any ideas? Thanks

@roderick: Are you sure you have Catch Updater Plugin active. IF not then first, you need to download plugin from http://catchthemes.com/wp-plugins/catch-updater/ and then upload in “Plugins => Add New => Uploads” then upload Catch Updater plugin and then activate it. After that you need to download Catch Responsive pro from your account at http://catchthemes.com/my-account and then upload it from “Appearance => Themes => Add New => Uploads”.

Hi Sakin,
Yes I have the updater installed and activated. I followed the steps above. The only other error message I received was after the ‘install now’, it seemed to upload OK, but then gave me this message:
Unable to initialize WP_Filesystem. Will not proceed with the update.

Site seems to be stuck in maintenance mode now too – how do I get out of this?

@roderick: This is strange. As we are doing update all the time this way. Ok I will email you.

@roderick: Catch Updater didn’t work as you have FTP access restriction. So, I have deactivate Catch Updater plugin and install it using FTP. See the update instruction from FTP at http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-responsive-pro/#updating

Hope everything is fine with you guys…
I bought the Catch Base Pro yesterday and notice that the updates are just happening in the “appearance” but not showing as is when seen as the site user.

Hope you can shed some light.

It´s now working… 😀

What was happening is that the updates were not showing for the users.

@jissel: It must be cache issue. So, when you make changes you need to go to Wp Super Cache Settings and clear your cache.
