    Hello, I am unable to update my theme in wordpress.
    I get this message: An error occurred while updating Simple Catch Pro: Update package not available.

    I had the theme customized with a 2 column layout, could this be why it will not update?

    @lenorajane: You cannot update pro theme like you update free theme .To update pro theme you’ll need to first download the theme from https://catchthemes.com/my-account/page. Then install Catch Web Tools plugin and activate Catch Updater Module. https://wordpress.org/plugins/catch-web-tools/

    Hello Skandha

    I have watched the video and it was a big help to see the steps.
    I had my simple catch pro theme layout customized.

    Will this update change the customization? Is it okay to update as the instructions said?

    @lenorajane: If you haven’t made any changes to core theme directly all your customization will stay intact even after theme update.

    The update took my site back to the old version. I paid someone at Catch Themes to do a layout customization. Now what do I do? Everything I paid for is gone.

    Please Help

    I did a restore to put the customized layout back into place.

    I guess since I have a customized theme, I am unable to update it???
    I know they made a child theme and did the new layout, so maybe that has something to do with it.

    IF I am not able to apply updates, what will happen?

    @lenorajane: Looks like after the update, you activate “Simple Catch Pro” theme. But for your layout changes, I had build child theme. So, you need to keep that active and the customization will not get lost.
