I have a new blog with catch responsive. I want to turn off all comments on the blog posts permanently. I have looked at WP support but the information does not seem relevant for this theme. I don’t know how but my last couple of blog posts do not have a “comment” option on them. But the first few blogs do and I want to turn it off. It must be possible because somehow the recent blog posts do not have the comment option.

Comments for blog can be turned off in two ways.
1. Go to Dashboard=> Posts=> All posts -> click ‘Quickedit’ and Uncheck ‘Allow comments’
or
2. Go to Dashboard=> Posts=> Edit post -> ‘Screen options’ near the top right – Check ‘Discussion’ – scroll below post editor – Uncheck ‘Allow comment’

Perhaps thenes differ? I would think this should be an obvious thing to change.
Here is what happens: When I go to dashboard and then posts I see all the posts listed there is a row of windows on top.
The first option is “bulk actions” which include edit and move to trash.
The next option is to select a certain month of posts.
The next is the “categories” selection option.
When I select a particular post of edit there is also no way to stop allowing posts.
There is the “protect this content” option but I want it available to the public for reading.
BUT NOT for posting.December 28, 2015 at 9:33 am #81751MaheshKeymasterThe option I suggested is the WordPress’s default option. On add/edit post, you’ll see “Screen Options” button just beside “Help” button, click it and some checkbox options will drop in. Check on “Discussion” option in Boxes option. Then you’ll see “Discussion” option under the post content box. Then you can disable comments in post by unchecking “Allow comments” checkbox.
I hope you understand, let me know if any problem arises.
