Hello,

I kindly request your help in adding the social bar to my theme.

I have two questions :

1st
I believe the social bar is a widget. But when working on home page, this message appears:
“Your theme has 9 other widget areas, but this particular page doesn’t display them.
You can navigate to other pages on your site while using the Customiser to view and edit the widgets displayed on those pages.”
I really need the social bar to appear in all my pages, including the homepage, can you please help me with this?

2nd
I tried to add the CT Social Icons to the Footer Area, but I cannot see it to costumize after that or it just appears and I cannot work on it, can you please help me with this matter too?

@fredericopessanha: Hello Frederico,
For social menu there are three menu options you can use Social on Header Top, Social on Primary Menu and Social on Footer.

Go to => Appearance => Customize => Menus => Create New Menu => Give the menu a name and click Next => Add Items => Custom Links => Add the Link to your Social Media to URL field and add text to the Text field. When you are done adding your Social Media links Select the Menu Location below where you want the menu to be displayed and Finally Publish.

Let me know if you are still having issues setting up the social menu.

I just have one more question – how can I make the links open in a new window? Should I had the html? And where?

@fredericopessanha: Hello Frederico,
To make the social links open in new tab,
Go to => Appearance => Menus => On top right you will see Screen Options => Click on Screen Options and Check the option Link Target under Show advanced menu properties.

Then,
Below on Select a menu to edit and Select your Social Menu and Click on Select.

Finally click on your menu items and check the option Open in New tab and Save Menu.

It worked out perfectly, thank you so much.
I have one final question about social menu – I changed my pinterest link to a collection instead of the main page and now the icon of the link stopped assuming pinterest.
How can I change the logo to pinterest logo again?

}
